Ndumbi, Tanzania - Ad Konings
Endemic to the small rocky reefs of Pombo and Ndumbi south of the Ruhuhu River, Tanzania. Fry, juveniles, females and males all have an identical color and pattern. Max size is only about 3", but they are very aggressive to their own species but generally ignore others. Watch what you feed them as they are herbivores with an intestine 200% of standard length. In the lake they feed on algae attached to rocks. Home Availability List |
