Freeze Dried Pacifica Plankton (Euphausia pacifica)
Euphausia pacifica is similar nutritionally to its cousin, Euphausia superba,
but is about one-third the size, approximately .25 to .5 inches in length. It's
a rich source of carotenoids, including astaxanthin, that will bring out the
colors in both marine and freshwater fish. Proper handling and drying keeps
natural flavourants, proteins and lipids largely intact. Powerful flavourants
act as an attractant to many species of fish. Approx analysis: Protein,
60%; Fat, 8%; Carbohydrates, 11%; Ash, 10%; Moisture, 5%; Astaxanthin (pigment),
150 - 200 ppm.
